New classrooms arrive!

Our new classrooms have arrived!  The builders are working on preparing the classrooms for us at the moment.  They should be ready for us to move into them by the end of this term.

Kandinsky inspired art works...

The Year 4 Rakino Team were inspired by the art works of Wassily Kandinsky (Russia) and Ani O’Neill (N.Z.).

We used some of their ideas to create our own concentric circle designs.  

We learned about cool and warm colours and how to blend using acrylic paint.  These have been merged together into one artwork, linking all of our classes designs together as one.  This is on display in the hall.

We also had lots of fun layering different coloured paper to create ‘Kandinsky trees’ and our own concentric circle paper designs (see above).

Goal Setting Meetings

Thanks to everyone who came in to our Goal Setting Meetings last week.  It was great to see our students sharing their goals for this year with their families.  I hope they were helpful for you all.

HELP! SOFT TOY PENGUIN - Missing in action!

Missing:  Mark's soft toy penguin.

When:  At the end of camp.

Where:  At camp.

Please help Mark be reunited with his special soft toy penguin.  It has his name on it.  Maybe someone has accidentally taken it home with them?  

Please return it to Room 22 as soon as possible!
